John is the director of HAM Associates and has a wide range of ergonomics design experience, working across maritime, railways, emergency services, healthcare, and process control industries. With an in-depth knowledge of applying ergonomics and human factors to the engineering design process, he can work as an individual or part of a large multi-disciplinary team. With a strong socio-technical system perspective, the integration of people, process, and technology can be delivered with the human-computer interface and physical workspace design. A key strength is the facilitation of user groups through the design process, building positive staff perceptions, ownership and acceptance. The main goal of his professional practice is to deliver tangible, cost-effective solutions that improve the health, safety, comfort, and performance of users. He sees himself as a chief facilitator of project goals and objectives, placing people at the centre of the design process
